A well-informed community is better able to prepare for any potential disaster affecting the area.

The Safety Festival’s purpose is to familiarize residents with useful safety information, as well as the daily responsibilities of ED 48 and other neighboring fire and EMS departments through a variety of fun and high-energy activities.

Festival activities include:

  • Ladder truck tours and ambulance tours
  • Fire and EMS exhibits and demonstrations, including car fire and extrication demos
  • Life Flight helicopter viewing
  • A “Fire Fighters Combat Challenge”
  • An inflatable play area ( Kid Zone )
  • Food and refreshment vendors
  • Live entertainment

Notice of Fee Increase

At the Authority’s Board of Directors meeting held on November 11, 2015, at 20111 Saums Road, Katy, Texas 77449, the Authority adopted increased fees. Effective January 1, 2016, the new pumpage fee will be $2.25 per 1,000 gallons of groundwater pumped and the new surface water fee will be $2.65 per 1,000 gallons of water delivered by the Authority.

The import fee will also increase to the current pumpage fee if the user is not connected to the Authority’s water system, or the current surface water fee if the user is connected to the Authority’s water system.

Please remember to report your water usage online at the Authority’s website (www.whcrwa.com), as required by the Authority’s Amended Rate Order
