Meetings – Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 71

The HCMUD71 Board typically meets at the District Administration Building, at 21437 Clay Rd, Katy, TX, 77449, on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM; and a special meeting on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. All meetings are open to the public and the Board of Directors welcomes you to attend any meeting to see what is going on in the district.

The District does have occasional special meetings at designated meeting places inside the boundaries of the District. Residents of the District have the right to request the designation of a meeting location within the District under Water Code Section 49.062(g). If no suitable meeting place exists inside the District, the Board may designate a meeting place outside the District that is located not further than 10 miles from the boundary of the District. If the Board of Directors fails to designate a meeting place within the district or not further than 10 miles from the boundary of the District, after the receipt of such petition, five registered voters may petition the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to designate a meeting location.
