Please Help us Keep our Lakes and Drainage and Detention Facilities Clean

In recent months, Harris County MUD No. 71 has had to spend significant funds to remove furniture, yard waste, and other debris left in or near District lakes and drainage and detention facilities, in order to allow for proper drainage and to assist with flooding prevention. Photographs of some of the debris dumped in District drainage and detention facilities are included below. Please help keep our lakes and drainage and detention facilities clean by disposing of all furniture, yard waste, and any other debris properly and not leaving it on District property!

All improper dumping should be reported to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, at (713) 221-6000. Please be advised that improper dumping could potentially subject you to fines and criminal penalties.
