Harris County Flood Control District Special Bond Election

The Harris County Flood Control District (“HCFCD”) has called a special bond election on August 25, 2018, the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey, to ask the qualified voters of Harris County whether the HCFCD should issue a maximum amount of $2.5 billion in bonds for flood risk reduction projects throughout the County. They also have requested resident input regarding projects to include in the proposed bond program. The Board of Directors of Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 71 encourages all qualified voters in the District to seek out more information regarding the HCFCD bond election and to let your voice be heard by getting out to vote in the election. All qualified voters may vote in person on election day, August 25, 2018, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or during early voting, from August 8th through August 21st.
